Renier Diaz de la Portilla is an experienced lawyer, mediator and former lawmaker. Fully bilingual and bi-literate in English and Spanish, Renier manages a team that brings a client-centered approach to the practice of law based on a lifetime of community involvement.
Renier has handled hundreds of criminal-defense matters, many to verdict. And he has mediated more than a thousand cases since he was admitted to the Florida Bar in 2007. He has represented clients at almost every level of Florida’s Criminal Courts, in post-conviction hearings, and in U.S. Federal Court. Diaz de la Portilla Lawyers focuses on advising clients on post-conviction matters and in the sealing/expungement of past criminal records so that law-abiding individuals have an opportunity to move on from past mistakes and get a fresh start.
